Sorry, I'm new to the forum. I was just looking for an answer about my speakers, and ended up venting my frustrion.

kudos to you guys and this forum! my 2010 hhr LT has 125k miles on it. and about 3-4 months ago was the first sign of speaker trouble. usually, it would happen when it was foggy out and or raining. apparently, somehow moisture gets in there and causes the speakers to suddenly stop working. due to my budget, i had to put it off until now, and had to pay a installer to put them in. these HHR door panels are to fragile for me. i tore up my window mirror switches when i replaced the POS door handle that broke off in my hand about 2 years ago, i have really enjoyed my hhr, and it will be paid off in august of 2016. going to try to keep it another year or two and get rid of it. no more gm products for me. cosmetically, just too fragile of a vehicle.

125 thousand miles on a 6 year old 2nd hand car and you have had a door handle break, and now some speaker problems. Things break/wear out - things get maintained, some things get abused/neglected.

I'd say you did pretty good overall with it. If you are looking for a vehicle that has zero problems in that length of time, you will be quite disappointed.
