AND as of two years ago the rear hatch door wont open anymore. I don't have the hundreds of dollars it will take to find this problem.

Same problems here
I just bought an 08 SS and among many other ridiculous bugs I'm working on, only my tweeters are working. Seems I'm for sure not the only one. That's actually the easiest of the list of stuff to need attention but seems GM for sure ought to do something about this after reading solo many posts

So, GM gave a 5 year 100k mile warranty and you think GM should "do something" about speakers on an 11-12 year old car ? What ? Warranty for life ?
Come on.Things wear out. Almost every vehicle I've owned in the last 43 years has needed speakers replaced at some point. Some at 3 years old and a couple that made it more than 10 years. And those were many different makes and models.
No. I don't expect them to do anything for something that old and used.

FMG - of course they should be covered by warranty for life no matter how old the vehicle is.
And how about tires that only last 50,000 miles - what do they think we are? Suckers? (sarcasm off)

No offense but your car is 11 years old. GM's responsibility ran out years ago. Decent replacements aren't expensive. I replaced my fronts with a Rockford Fostgate open box package from Crutchfield for under $40. They sound way better than the stock ones.

Don’t get me started on warranty and replacement of parts.
EPS motor extended warranty!
transmission control (automatic shifter), extended warranty!
GM repaired my rusty door seams at 6. 5 years / no charge.

I won’t get into how many cars and all the history lessons
