How long does it take to install a PAL?
Hi, I just bought my HHR and ordered a PAL ipod link for it. The dealer called and said it had arrived but, since they've never installed one before, they don't know how complicated the install is and how long it will take. Does anyone know? I would like to know if I can just wait an hour or so at the dealer or if I need to arrange alternate transportation while they have my HHR.
Thanks in advance

It is not hard. It is mostly just adding wires that just plug into factory harnesses. I did not have the XM option so it was easier. The most diffucult part is taking the radio out and just putting everything back together. Good Luck, John

Don't know about anyone else, but if it's their first install, you might want to arrange that alternate transportation.
Here's the link to the "How To..." for getting to the radio so you can plug in to it. Very good description and photos.

My PAL has been ordered and I plan on installing it myself. The link I posted clearly shows you how to get to the radio so you can connect. I have already run cables into my upper glovebox (for my Sirius radio and power for my Garmin Navigator), so running the PAL cable up there will be no problem. The hole is already open.
