Instead of cutting the door wires just build a pinned jumper to make the connections....Male and female spade ends work fine

I just did the front speakers and ran new wires from the amp.
I threaded them through the door connector and rubber sheath so there is no break in the wires.
I took lots of pics, so I could do a how-to post if you like, including door panel removal.
