Angry Missing Auxiliary Audio Jack

When I bought my 2010 HHR LS the audio jack was missing and I didnt notice it immediately. Does anyone know what the part number for this is? I went to the dealer to try to get a replacement but they kept trying to sell me a replacement power port. I have included a photo to illustrate what I mean. http://twitpic.com/8centf/full

I wonder if it's not just pushed in somehow. I can't imagine someone removing it.

Angry Missing Auxiliary Audio Jack

No, the copper thing in the hole is the end of the connection. The jack the audio plug goes into is not there. I suspect someone who rented the car from the previous owner (Hertz) pulled out their plug and the jack went with it. The dealer was of no assistance, just wanted me to bring it in for service. I have attached a link to a side by side photo of what the jack should look like and what it does look like. http://www.twitpic.com/8cezcq/full

Bad thing is that it is part of the radio, you won't be able to buy it from your GM Dealer, they would have to send the radio out for repairs or sell you a new radio.

Here's a link on removing and disassembling the radio head unit.....

And here's a link to folks who repair car audio at very reasonable rates, used them myself.....

843de: Thank your for this information! The fact it is part of the actual radio itself explains why I can't find a part number for it, I guess.

If you know of someone handy with electronics & solder-post #9 from that link, last pick, looks like an easy fix. All thanks to NxlKings posting!

Here is my post from the same thread:

Look at the black jack(black rectangle) in the lower right of the picture; it is soldered onto the PCB. The OPs radio may be the same as mine, which was different from NxlKing's with the separate small PCB.

Replaceable, YES. A sourceable part, unknown.

Or put another one in a different position like NxlKing did.
