Need help w/amp purchase please ...

So I just got done robbing a bank, well actually I'm finally getting backpay for about an 8 month period of time. Anyway, I'll admit that I'm ignorant and that I've fried more amps than KFC fries chicken in the past 6 months. I've come to the understanding that I love to listen to music at ignorant levels and in turn it has resulted in 6 chrome foot stools.

I have been using the Audiobahn A8000T's and it has netted a semi-significant loss. Fortunately, I'm ready to make a purchase based on quality instead of keeping the system "matched".

From past experiences I have had great use out of the Autotek Street Machine series as well as HiFonics. I have not however used a HiFonics product in about 4-5 years so that leaves me knowledgless about the newer(est) line(s). Actually, same goes for Autotek except it has been about 2-3 years since I have last owned one of their amps.

My question(s) or rather a statement:
I'm seeking recommendations on any type of amplifier that will handle my abuse. Must be at minimum 500RMS a channel (2 channel or Mono). Please no XX Maxximus Dual Mono-Block Ultra D-Class Design recommendations as these damn things about 5G a pop.

Any thoughts, ideas or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

How much money are you willing to spend IMHO, JL Amps are the best money can buy. But for the best bang for the buck, and I'm biased since I own them, Infinity has the best buy on mono amps (ebay).

For about 200 ebay dollars you can find a 611a (mine) that provides 657 watts RMS @ 2ohms. And the 1211a for about 100 more ebay dollars gives you 1300 watts RMS @ 2ohms...Whatever you decide, keep us posted

Linkies:

611a & 1211a

I live by any Phoenix Gold product out there. Best stuff I've ever used. I have all my PG stuff coming in the mail right now.

500 watts rms 2 ohm per 2 channels. jl audio 1000/1 best bang for buck especially for sound and performance. I do have an alpine mrd-m1005 that im using that is rated at 1095 at 2 ohms. If your final load is 2 ohms and not what i'm reading as 1 ohm, then i would get an other mrd-m1005 without thinking about it i love the amp. let me tell you im running over 500 watts rms per alpine type r 12, i have 2 of them, and it will make your eyeballs bounce. great amp, and it takes the abuse.

cliff notes:
jl audio 1000/1 - if you are running final load of 1 ohm
alpine mrd-m1005 - if your final load is 2 ohm

I've always used Alpine amps. I've gone through many subs but have yet to wear out an Alpine amp.

Awesome, thank you for all the ideas guys. I also used to run the old school Orion HCCA225 and those amps never got warm and were under rated beyond belief.

I will definately check out the Alpine and JL Audio amps. Phoenix Gold used to be a name that I lived by as well BlackHHR, however I thought I remember them selling out to some other company.
