New radio system stopped working
New radio system stopped working
So I put an aftermarket head unit and did the interface my self it worked great for like 3 days then my battery died cause I am learning as I go but instead of unhookin the positive I unhooked the ground then went into work for 10 hrs came out hooked it back up no issues until I got going down the road the head unit I put in was a touch screen it was flickering so I stopped and when to the contact on the battery bout that time nothing so i bought a new head unit cause like i said I am new to this it's a dual I had or have a 1000 wat Alpin Amp and it pushes 2 1200 watts 12inch alpine subs now this care came factory with a built in pioneer Amp and a 8 inch sub this car have the power inverter in the back it reads 12 v so idk what to do I am trying to set this car up to push loud decimals my son is 10 and likes the boom I need some advice cause us listening and bonding and him not playing front nite is all I am trying to do
I read, he installed an aftermarket Hu and subwoofer, is learning about the HHR .
we see many times folks installing a new head unit and wire it themselves. My suggestion is to go to Crutchfield.com , they have the correct interface components and instructions for your installation.
If that’s not an option then reinspect the wiring you did, something shook loose

So I put an aftermarket head unit [in,] and did the interface myself. It worked great for like 3 days, then my battery died ‘cause I am learning as I go; instead of unhookin’ the positive. I unhooked the ground, then went into work for 10 hrs.
Came out, hooked it back up, no issues until I got going down the road. The head unit I put in was a touch screen. It was flickering, so I stopped and when to the contact on the battery. (sic, no idea)
About that time, nothing, so i bought a new head unit, ‘cause, like i said, I am new to this.
It’s a dual. [?!] I had or have a 1000 Watt Alpine amp and it pushes 2 1200 Watt 12inch Alpine subs.
Now, this car came factory with a built in pioneer Amp and a 8 inch sub. This car has the power inverter in the back. It reads 12V, so idk what to do. I am trying to set this car up to push loud decimals (sic.) My son is 10 and likes the boom. I need some advice ‘cause us listening and bonding, and him not playing [Fortnight] is all I am trying to do

Removing the negative cable is the correct way.
Did the connector get broken or not tightened back?
How did you wire the switched power and the constant power?
What power inverter? Why do you need AC power?
You might need a second battery to push a lot of power. Add all of the power requirement of the modules together. How many amps are needed?
