I'm going down to the audio shop tomorrow to discuss having the floor done. I may do it myself if the price is too high. I will see if I can talk them into having their enclosure making company make them (they can use mine as a guinea pig ). I want the floor covered with spray on bedliner like surface so stuff wont move around on it

Question, if your boc is only 3" deep, does the magnet stick up above the floor? For my 12" Alpine Type R I need over 6" of clearence. the box that i am building however has the sub mounted up, and the top of the box is vanered and stained to give it the old timey truck bed rails. I am only looking for some metal slats to screw to the top to make look more like the old truck bed floors. I shoyuld have everything 100% built and ready for pics in a few weeks.

I really would love to see the under side of your set up. I belive a bunsh of us would.

Thanks for the pics. I'm looking to have my sub set like your last setup to try to keep it more shallow than yours. that and the fact I am looking at a woofer that is not as deep as yours. Looks real good, too bad I have to keep my anchors for the seats

Thumbs up

Is that a fiberglass surface covering the top of the box? And if so do you know how much resin and fiber it took? All of that put aside, it is freekin sweet! I hope to have my box finished soon we are back and forth betwen fiberglass and MDF for the bottom, if we go with fiber glass i can get more air space for the speaker, becasue I could mold to the bottom and around the speaker, but this could get tricky. If we go with mdf it wuld be easy but just give me the air space i need. Any ideas?

I think those pics now have me more confused Is their plexiglass covering your amp and sub? Is your sub touching the bottom of the box? It doesn't look like a whole lot of room in there...

Whenever my finances allow it, Phase II of my install will have a similar setup to get to the spare tire. Looks good and bet it sounds good

Coming soon...Phase II, Winter 06

The black portion this under the removable top panel is Fiberglass, it is one piece that funnels down around the sub. There is not any plexi covering the amp and sub,I opted not to have it. There is plexi on the port hole. The sub is not touching the bottom of the box. It does sound great, very punchy and strong. The other box was a little boomy........
