LT Rear spoiler installation

Hello,
Is it possible to install a rear spoiler that was designed for a SS model and put it on a 2010 LT model?

Question Spoiler switch

Do the LT/2 and SS spoilers use the same mounting holes? I have an o7 panel with the (imo) hideous loop spoiler. I'd like to switch to an SS spoiler but don"t want to leave holes if the two don't use the same spacing. I just joined the forum, although I have read it for years. Got my first HHR -09 LT/2 in 2010. Second HHR -09 SS in 2013. Just got my third -07 LT/2 Panel last month. They all live happily together in my driveway. Seems like not much traffic on this site anymore but I'm hoping the diehards are still here. Thanks to anyone reading this and more so to anyone with an answer.

Question LT to SS Spoiler Switch

Does anyone know if the LT/2 and SS spoilers use the same spaced mounting holes? I just acquired a beauty of a panel wagon but it has the ugly- imo- loop spoiler. I'd like to switch it out but don't want to leave holes - and possibly incur leaking - if the SS spoiler doesn't use the same mounting holes. Any info helps. There doesn't seem to be much traffic on the forum these days, but I hope some of the hardcores are still here. 3 HHRs and counting.

Merged the thread that was in essence the same as the post added to this thread (duplicate postings just make it confusing for everyone).

Give it time for a response - I'm sure one of the members might have the answer for you.

So I've been buried.

I've noticed that when people start a new thread, it is readily viewed. I started a thread involving switching spoilers, after I realized I had initially left a new post on an old thread with no recent communication. I've noticed that people who have started new threads since my attempt have gotten at least a few responses, even if they didn't have direct answers. instead of merging the post made to the old thread to my new, seemingly visible thread, the new thread was added to an old thread that doesn't seem to have any visitors. I see new threads added every day with at least a few replys. I have a feeling my first and probably last post will have been lost on a forgotten and no longer seen old thread. Oh well. Ill keep searching for answers on my own. Good luck to all.

Unfortunate that the double posts had the mods combine it to the one thread. Fwiw. I, like a lot of the members here, will read any new posts added to an old thread. Not like it won't be seen because it's in an old thread.

As far as "are the mounting holes the same" question. I'm not sure. But, if you're planning on putting a SS spoiler on, it will cover up the old holes if they don't match up. You may have to drill new holes.
Since the regular and SS versions use the same rear hatch, it won't be a problem to drill new holes.
