Great job!
I have the base unit in my HHR and want to upgrade cause it is WEAK, though I will not be doing it myself. But thanks to you and others when I do have someone else do it I will be much more informed and hopefully be better able to know what I want.

Words don't really do it justice, I am so very much impressed! Can you ball park the cost if you are so inclined? Man, I would love to hear some TOOL or the new Red Hot Chili Peppers on that setup! My hats off to you Ng, that's total drool material for sure!

- Head unit was $200 @ Crutchfield (free shipping no taxes)
- 4 channel amp was $300 @ Best Buy (cheaper on ebay)
- Mono amp was $220 with shipping @ ebay (best place to buy amps)
- 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect subs x 2 = $150 @ Crutchfield (on sale, free shipping, no taxes, a steal! kick ass subs, I love em)
- Q-logic Dual 10" sub box $80 @ Best Buy
- RCA's, speaker wires, connectors etc.. was about $200 (don't go cheap on wires, you'll regret it)
- Remote bass knob & Alpine aux cable was about $35 @ Crutchfield
- MDF, 2 sheets was about $45 @ Lowes
- Vinyl @ some chick store my wife goes to was about $50
- Dynomat was about $100?
- Plexiglass was about $50 (stuffs not cheap) @ Lowe's
So I probably spent anywhere from $1400-1500 in hardware/parts. I didn't buy it all at once. I've been piece mealing this project for the last couple of months. Watching everybody do mods while I sat back and watched was tough. But I knew in the end it would be worth it.
I'm no master carpenter so the woodwork was somewhat of a challenge for me. Mistakes were made and I learned a lot. A lot of work but I'm really satisfied with the results. I'm guessing a shop would've charged me about $1000 for the install not including parts.
