Thanks for posting the update Cokeybill, I'd meant to after talking to OnStar last week but I "spaced" on it because I was right in the middle of a four day multi-state flight rotation.

So I doff my official "Guy Who's In Charge" hat to you good sir!

The lack of retrofitted WiFi capability might be a bummer to some, but our beloved Trucklets are getting some grey around their muzzles(?), and GM would really like us all to trade our rides in and take advantage of the "Fantastic Model Year End Closeouts and Interest Rates".

Don't know about you, or most of us here, but I'll be hanging onto my HHR's for ages to come.

My dad's trax is getting the upgrade, including wifi hotspot. He has to pay for one year of service in advance, should be going in next week.
I haven't used the onstar in the hhr for years, haven't received any notification either. For the cost of a years basic service I might want to keep it active.

As in my earlier post, My dealer had the SS in the shop yesterday(Monday) and they were waiting on OnStar to call them. The module is installed, just hasn't connected yet. The service guy called me today and said Come get your car. So I did. When I got there, the SS still hadn't had the connection yet. So the service guy knew I needed the car for 7AM Wed. (specialist for cortisone shot in the shoulder). So, I will still have to wait for the completion of the install/connection when my service guy calls in the near future. I guess I'll have to get some freebee from onstar for this delay. I've already had 100 free minutes this year after threating them to rebate my prepaid subsciption of 3 years.

Now Onstar has extended my service from March 2016 to Sept 2016. More freebees.

Hey everyone, I’m C J. I’ve been working on cars since I was 16, with most of my background rooted in Ford and Chrysler platforms. Over the years, I’ve done everything from troubleshooting and upgrades to OEM-style retrofits that manufacturers didn’t always offer from the factory.
On the Ford side, that’s included adding features like SYNC systems into Interceptor model vehicles. With Chrysler products, I’ve handled full factory-style upgrades—such as converting a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo into a Limited, complete with factory Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, OEM backup camera, and XM integration.
I’m currently transitioning over to GM platforms and looking forward to applying that same OEM-plus mindset and hands-on experience here. I’m here to learn, share knowledge, and contribute wherever I can.I realize this thread is dated, but I’m hoping someone may still see this reply and point me in the right direction. I have limited experience with OnStar systems; however, I’ve successfully performed Bluetooth module swaps and upgraded several GM vehicles to the 4G LTE module.
Does anyone know where I can find the connector pinouts for a 2008 Chevy HHR LT equipped with the OnStar UE1 system—specifically for connectors X1, X2, and X4? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I’m happy to share any results or progress I make in return.
Thanks in advanced. - CJ
