Pac Audio adapter for adding amplifier

has anyone tried to use the pac audio adapter for adding the rca outs for the use with a sep amp setup-- i found the number to be AOEM-GM1416A.. think this is a better way of doing it--without having to cut into the wiring and cabling --maybe risking of shorting out the head unit... any feedback would be nice... thanks in advance

Do you have the premium or non-premium setup? If non-premium, I think we can use the Metra 71-2104 replacement harness to tap into the factory low-level inputs and install RCA plugs on them. I am probably going to pull my stereo on Monday to confirm this, but if it works it'll be less expensive than the PAC adapter.

i have the prem system with the facotry sub... and was wondering where this unit plugged in--- at the head unit or on the sub box at the amplifier. ? gonna add a small 10 with an "old school" punch 45 --that is still around and kicking good....

are you sure that is the right adapter? I used that on my base system and it works great except I found it easy to fit in the dash with some plastic cutting.
