07 HHR power steering noises on radio, when listening to AM radio. Any idea what is causing this? Every time I turn the steering wheel I receive an irritating hum.

change it to FM then, & it will go away !

You bet it does, the new HD AM stations sounds a lot better than FM. I thought maybe it could be a bad ground but maybe not. Even joking around you may have answered my question anyway. It may be as simple as recalibrating the radio somehow to eliminate the noise on only the newer HD AM stations. Come to think of it, the plane AM talk shows, doesn't have this problem.
