Premium Audio?

I'd use the SWI-X... That's what I am using already. A more "universal" than the ALP, you can reprogram it if you decide to change your head unit in the futire. The instructions for integrating either are located here:

Yeah, I could use that, but I'm going with a Kenwood deck with the wired remote controller, and pretty much stick to Kenwood units anyway, so it'll work. Plus I've heard horror stories of the SWI-X and sunlight basically making it useless. With a sunroof that I use quite often, it's easier and more reliable to go with a wired unit.
You make a good point. The X, like I said, is universal, so I'm accustomed to using it for almost all my installs. The trick is to locate the repeater LED in a spot that won't get direct sunlight. (I had thoughts of replacing the evil roof mounted LED in Shnog with the PAC repeater LED).
I mocked it up to test the location already. In my application, with a flip-out, it didn't work well, because the screen would block the light emitted from the LED, as the sensor sits on the front, non-moving, panel. If I were using a DIN or Double-DIN application, it would've worked fine.
The evil LED on the roof is my biggest complaint about the HHR. I'm not a tall guy (5'8"), and I ride low, so the little death ray burns a hole through my soul (and retinas) at night.
