New member here. Bought a 2011 hhr lt2 last week. Great shape for a 10 year old, just over 61,000 miles. I do wish it had the factory backup cam, but since it doesn't, I was wondering how complicated it would be to replace the rearview with one the has the video capability. There seem to be lots of used ones on Ebay that say they are compatible from wrecked GM cars. The one I have has OnStar, auto dimming and compass. Ones that are after market don't have the same features and even though I won't be subscribing to Onstar and I don't see a need for a compass, I think it would be nice to stay oem. I did search for the info but couldn't find an answer for my question. Any advice appreciated.

 

Someone just posted a few months ago they used the camera from a GMC and the rear view mirror from a Silverado
