Replaced front door Pioneer with Focal

Replaced the front door Pioneer speakers with Focal Access 165 CA1.
This was a distinct improvement! The speakers are very balanced and clear.
Pioneer on the left.

Anytime you swap paper speakers with whizzer cones with non-paper replacement speakers, the improvement will be noticeable.

I put four Infinity Reference 6.5" speakers in my SS, and it sounds great.

No, it's not "audiophile" quality, but neither are my ears.

with a small replacement like that will the HU still run it all fine?

Wouldn't mind upgrading mine someday if the price is right. I used to switch the speakers in my car but never knew if i was really doing it right?

ANy depth restrictions I gotta worry about?

Are these Focals made in China like everything else nowadays, or somewhere else?

The stock tweeters are pretty good. My first upgrade was swithing out to infinity reference in all the doors, real nice sound.

I also uprgraded to the infinity 6.5, I am wondering do any of you guys run amps to them or are you just using power from h.u.? I am looking at an alpine amp and wondering if it is worth it or not for clarity purposes as I turn it up a little..
