Same old question for factory replacement sub

Same old question for factory replacement sub

Well, couldnt find anything about specifically what i was looking for, anywho. My current system is just to damn loud, i want to replace my factory sub, too all the guys who have already done this, what subs fit ? And will the factory amp push it or no ? Any or tips or hints you could give would be great, thanxs.

To fit my 8" Audiobahn in the factory box I had to add a 3/4" spacer ring and cut out the factory plastic Pioneer grille.

i think theres a few ppl here that replace or used a bigger sub.

So is the factory amp able to give it any kinda decent power or does it sound worse then stock ?

It sounded better than the stock subwoofer but it was weak as hell. I added a 250 watt RMS amp and was still unhappy. That's why I built a box. I personally wouldn't recommend just replacing the sub because you probably won't be satisfied. If your going to do it at least put the sub on it's own amp.

Yea i kinda figured that. Anywho i bit the bullet and got an jl audio 8wo, the mounting depth is 4inches so i assume im gonna have to put some kinda of spacer plate on as well ?
