Sad but true, it's bitten me in the butt a couple times. The myths & wise-cracks about "touring musicians" are even worse!

I met Harry Chapin, back in the seventies, while working security at the local civic center. I worked there when I was in college and got to meet a bunch of different entertainers. Harry Chapin was the nicest of all of them. I was sad to hear that he was killed in a auto accident some years back. By the way, the biggist a$$hole I met was, so called country star, Charlie Pride.

Wow I listen to so many types of music that it is hard to list everything but the grateful dead are one of my ultimate favorites. I love a lot of jam music such as moe, string cheese incident, yonder mountain string band. I also grew up as a metalhead listening to Iron maiden, motorhead, black sabbath, kiss, and I also used to listen to a lot of punk. That is why I love sirius I get in a mood for something and I can turn it on. I like the blues a lot and some jazz, Frank Zappa is another fav as well as some progressive Rush, Yes, and dream theater. Do not like classical or rap and like good country such as Hank Williams Sr.,Jr., and the third. Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and the outlaw country artists I like. It seems a lot of the bands mentioned in here I like. You guys take care and keep rockin!

Hey Jon do not know if you have seen or heard of them but there is a tribute band called Dark Star Orchestra. They tour all across the US and are probably one of the best Grateful Dead cover bands. When they do a show they recreate one of the deads concerts song for song. These guys are great and I highly recommend them if you like the dead and ever get a chance to see them. Have tickets to go see Hank Williams the third this next sat. and I can not wait, heard his concerts are a great time. Plays a set of country and then comes out and plays a set with his punk band should be interesting.
