DJNATE I also love that song, have seen george thorogood about 10 times and he plays that song also in his sets. I am real interested to hear hanks punk stuff, was a big punk fan in college but that has been many years ago LOL. :)

 

I have seen him (Hank the III) in Super Joint Ritual, and his new band "Ass Jack". My mom was friends with Charlie Pride and been to his house in 1966 or 67 in Great Falls, MT...my birthplace! YEAH!

 

I pretty much like all kinds of music... grew up listening to Dad's old country, Hank, Willie, Waylon, Charlie Pride, Charlie Rich... you get the point... My Mom played piano, so I got a taste of gospel and classic.. I love the blues and jazz... and I have a range of younguns around from 10 to 24 so I get a taste of hip/hop and rap... not much I don't listen too as long as the lyrics don't get too crazy as with some of the rap...

Saw Hank Williams the third last night and what an unbelivable show. He is surrounded with some great musicians and the show was great. I did not care for the punk metal set he plays so we only hung around for 2 songs of that and left the club, but the country set was worth the price of admission. DJNATE he did play cocaine blues

 

I wanted to bring this thread back to the top. Pimpadelic! The best band to ever come out of Texas.

 

Since you bumped it... I usually listen to country, though I can appreciate almost anything (especially if it has a good base line).
