2 Inch Drop Causes Shudder

Alright so I just put on some Raceland Ultimo coilovers that are a 2 to 4 inch drop. I only went down 2 inches but now when I accelerate from a dead stop, or from like 5 mph, the front end tends to shudder. I've checked some random forums elsewhere on the internet and it seems that this could be a problem with the CV axles being at a different angle than at the stock ride height. Its not undrivable by any means but may cause excessive wear if I let it go. I did purchase the Turbo Racing rack spacers that OldBlue recommended but I haven't had time to install them yet. I don't have any problems with bump steer yet and I don't think rack spacers would change the angle of the CV axle. Has anyone else experianced this or can someone confirm that the CV axle needs attention?

P.S. once i get off work ill post a few pics in this thread and the Black HHR thread

You need to install a spacer in the rear transmission mount.

Damn thats a pretty cheap solution to this. So my understanding is that this spacer will raise my transmission enough to correct the angle of the CV axle, right?

Sweet! Other than the shudder, everything else went smoothly with this project. The oem style swaybar links work fine, there is very little rubbing with cheap all season tires on 16" wheels, and no problems with bump steer (at least in my case). So to install this transmission spacer, I would assume I just need to jack up the transmission and place the spacers underneath the mount correct?

Remove the three mount bolts from the rear transmission mount, jack up the transmission about 3/4 to an inch, insert the spacer, lower transmission, install the bolts and tighten them up by hand! Then torque them to spec , 89 ft/lbs

is this something that a novice could do with a floor jack and jack stands or would it be safer to take this to a transmission shop?

Floor jack and jack stands, 15 mm wrench or socket and ratchet, torque wrench.
if you changed the coil overs yourself, you can do this!
