Aftermarket Struts

Aftermarket Struts
I recently installed 2nd Gen GL's on my HHR. I swung into the dealer today for something and they put the car on the lift and the mechanic said that the front driverside strut is leaking.
So, my question is, has anyone replaced the stock struts with aftermarket ones, and if you did, what kind did you use. I cant find them online and I searched the past threads but they were from 2006.

Good question, i was thinking of lowering mine and was thinking about the life of the stock struts with the aftermarket springs.
Did the dealer tell you, what warrantys have been voided since you modified the suspension(if any)?

Koni has their Yellow Series shocks and struts currently avaliable (some of the best but also expensive). KYB and Tokico both say that they are developing them according to their websites.
I have used Tokico in the past and have been VERY happy with them, they are very affordable as well.

I see this thread is a year old, but I'll post this for whatever value it may have.
BOTH of my front struts were leaking at 50,000 on my 2006 HHR. He said that it was pretty low mileage for that to be happening. The replacements were Monroe Sensa-Trac struts #72179/72180.
