Yeah Im getting ceramic pads with the R1 rotors. They have some under their own brand now, just popped up on the website about a month ago, only $30.

I'm just wondering if I should to the ceramic pads from R1 or Napa...

I'll gladly pay the price.. this is where I wont cheap out on, since I can't stand noisy/dusty brakes. I might pop for the EBC green stuff. Any feedback on those?

Summit says to steer away from metallic pads with ABS, cause of the magnets...

But I don't know, I had semi-metallics stock on my previous truck.. no problems.

The ceramic pads are much cleaner in use.

I have a pair of GMPP that were on my Cobalt SS briefly, thinking about them for the HHR (I thought they were warped, but on replacing them found they just weren't seated right - since I had already bought PowerSlots, I put them on anyway and have the GMPPs in the garage).

EBC Green is the only way to go! Repco was my favorite for racing years ago. They are now Axxis metal master (same pad). Australian, and good dinkum! On the street, the Axxis act a bit like racing pads (need to be warm). I used to drag the break on cold monrings coming out of the apartment parking lot and that was all they needed to work great - otherwise, would wake you up quick when they didn't grip well on the first application.

You must save all the hard driving for the Fiero! We went through about 5 sets of rotors in 80k. Not wearing out, just warping. Now since WCF did the 13" brakes, we hope they will shed enough heat to stop that problem.

EBC Greens can be quite dusty when they are newish but they're great pads , I haven't managed to fade them yet. I would highly recommend the Akebono ultra premium ceramic pads. They cost a little bit more but they are less dusty than the Axxis Ultimate (aka PBR Ceramic) or the EBCs.

Although the brakes on my 88 GT have been replaced, I bought the car used so I don't know if they were replaced prior to the 54K miles when I got it. It now has 137,000 miles on it. My 87 GT (bought new) had the original rears replaced a couple of months ago at 126,000 miles. The fronts were replaced in the distant past. I'm easy on brakes

I did replace the brake pedal pad a few years ago.
