I'm stuck between Napa or R1 Concepts. I've never heard anything bad about either.

My HHR will need new rotors/pads soon, and my Lumina will need rotors/pads in the near future as well. The Lumina is terrible with brake dust since it's white, so I need ceramics on it, and I'm going to get ceramics for the HHR as well. I guess either brand you can't go wrong with.

New Bendix rotors and NAPA "best" pads. No shake, pulse or fade. Like it should be again.

I went the NAPA route and no regrets, but I think anything is better than those awful pie plates from the factory.

The 06 HHR 1LT i just bought last week has 34,000 miles on it and it needs brakes BAD! The pads and rotors don't look bad at all but they have a loud grinding noise to them. I'm having the snows put on steelies next week so i might as well just get the brakes done also. I may just buy the NAPA equipment and send them with the car.

CCK-Make sure on that lumina you use the below grease on the caliper slide pins. The only problem we ever had in our fleet on the luminas was caliper pins losing "glideability" with regular caliper pin grease and the calipers would not slie right and cause issues. I had the shop change to the permatex and no issues ever again. Costs more but worth it. I use it now for most grease applications like door hinges & slides, garage door tracks, etc. So if you buy a bottle that comes with the brush for about $10-$12 dollars it won't go to waste.

Oh yeah, my dad uses that stuff (well, so do I, he puts it on for me...)

Works wonders! Thanks for the tip though!

Heres the R1 slotted rotors I received, before and after a quick paint job. However when I went to put them on, I found I still had plenty left on the original rotors and pads after 3 years, so they will have to wait until spring.
