Braking and ABS help

I have an 2007 Chevy HHR and I can't seem to figure out what is going on with my brakes. I replaced the brakes and the master cylinder, bleed the brakes and everything needs done after replacing the master cylinder, but I still don't have brakes. When I press the brakes it sounds like air is being pushed through the lines and not brake fluid. Can someone please help me.

Are the flexible brake lines damaged, bulging or cracked?

Moved, thanks for the heads up, FMG.

I see now the title mentions ABS. There is a procedure for bleeding ABS brakes, the old school bleeding may not be good enough.

Did "everything" include bench bleeding the MC? Hook the booster back up?
