Bushing interchange question
Bushing interchange question
Hey everyone- need some help here.
I work for a company that makes aftermarket suspension parts, and I need to straighten out an issue in my database that only hands-on experience would fix.
What similarity is there between the Cobalt and HRR stabilizer bushings? I have OE examples of both, but I have 2 different bushing shapes and 2 different brackets. I know my SS has the bigger bushing with the 2 bolt bracket. Is this the same for the SS/TC version of both the Cobalt and HHR? If so, would this make the LS/LT versions take the 1 bolt bracket?
Logic would dictate that the 2 bolt bracket is for the FE5 suspension only, and the FE1/FE3 suspension has the 1 bolt bracket and smaller bushing.
I only have my vehicle for reference and a handful of parts, so anyone who has changed pieces on their LS/LT could help out a lot! If there isn't any cross reference information, then if you know what aftermarket part # you used it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

ive got a 2006 LT that i did a stabilizer bar bushing swap out on(to energy suspension pieces). the brackets that hold the bushings had two bolts.....was able to do the job, on my back in the garage, without dropping the engine carrier unit........just had to use some finese with the tools.....
