I just put on the Goldline springs today

I just put on the Goldline springs today and Solstice wheels and it rides smoother and better than stock. Very impressed.
Stock the car seemed to "wallow" around in the wind and you could feel every bump in the road. Now it is smoother and more stable. The Cobalt SS springs are probably an improvement over stock to. Curly

SS Springs

I just put the Colbalt SS springs on the rear of my Panel. Lowered it one inch. The price from GMParts Direct was $29.97 each plus $13.19 shipping. Looks a lot better and rides just fine.

Just to help a LOT of you out, if you print out the page from GM Parts Direct and take it to your dealer a lot of them will match the price. Before I started working at a dealership I did it all the time. Most of the time they would match it, or match the price and even take a lil off the "shipping" price too. With the economy the way it is, trust me they want a sale!!

I installed just the rears for a week (until the shops spring compressor was free), rode just like stock. After settling, the rear set just a fraction lower than the front. In, general it leveled the look of the car, but with a rear sway-bar installed as well, having just the rear springs, in sharp curves the rear-end would begin to come around, SO BE CAREFUL!!

I have had my balt SS springs for about a week. The only hard part was the front sway bar. I have not bottomed out at all.

It rides stiffer, but nothing bad at all.

Anyone have a before and an after shot of their HHR with the SS springs? Just curious to see how big a difference they make. Thanks, Jim
