One additional question, for the folks that have installed the rear Cobalt SS springs....Did you have to trim the bumpstops and if so, how much? Also are the stock shocks OK (I know I should probably upgrade the shocks as well), but are there any problems using the stock shocks? Thanks again guys for all the info! Jim

I didnt trim the bump stops, and I haven't bottomed out either. The shocks SHOULD be ok, is isn't THAT much of a drop.

Looks good. Im buying some on friday, but my question is, You say rides slightly stiffer than the LT suspension, Whats the difference between an LT and LS suspension? I will be adding them to an 08 LS w/ touring suspension.

Just picked up some FE5 springs. Stupid question: the shorter pair goes on the rear, right?

Right the shorter are the rears.
Along with the excellent installation thread in the Suspension forum, here are a
couple of good threads from the Cobaltss site

Does anyone know spring rates compared to the HHR SS? I'm thinking about conservatively lowering my SS, and these may be a good option.

i just purchased 09 cobalt SS springs for my 08 hhr panel, for $135 for all 4, thats my employee price here at the dealership i work at. hopefully they fit, they should be in tomorrow. i got a VIN off a 09 cobalt SS and just ordered the springs for it that way, so there was no guessing in our crappy computer system if we were ordering SS springs or not. so hopefully there is no difference between 08 hhr and 09 cobalt.
