Dumb rear spring install question...

Oh. From the 1st post I was thinking you had Cobalt OEM springs. Since you have aftermarket springs, I'm not familiar with those.
As far as the dead coils (the tightly wrapped ones) I don't think it matters if they're up or down.
I think most folks put the dead coils on the bottom. Someone else may answer in.

Some go up!



I just looked at my stock OEM spring and how it sat and put the tigger coils in the same position, I think it was up. It really doesn't effect the springs either way.

They should be the oem replacement springs as far as height goes, advanced auto had them in Stock for $40 so I figured I'd try it and see, I'll post pics of my triumph or defeat..lol

I asked the question in the wabac and IIRC 843de sounded authoritative when he said "up".

sorry it took so long but here are the pics of the drop i got.. using MOOG Cobalt springs, part number CC81065 from Advance Auto. I've very satisfied! Got me down to about 1/8" from being level with the front. Thanks again!
