Dumb rear spring install question...
Ok guys, I bought some Cobalt SS rear springs, (10390024) to level out the back end with the stock springs in the front and intend to install them this weekend. I've been through tons of posts on how to do it and even though i'm not really mechanically gifted I'm gonna give it a shot. I've seen over and over that after loosing up the shock i need to make sure not to put too much tension on the brake line when i lower it down to get the spring out.
My question..where/what do i unhook or loosen to give me the slack i need on the brake line? pics or a diagram of what i'm even looking for would be amazing..lol
btw, im running a 2011, 2.4L, 2LT
thanks in advance

No question is a dumb question around here.
Brake line is long enough to lower rear axle to remove springs after shock is taken off lower mount. Just do not go too far down, that will damage the brake line.
OK?

That's right; just keep an eye on them. Take both shocks off, have a pry bar handy, be ready to use some force the springs will probably be stuck in the plastic isolators (probably need new ones).

Getting the springs out is easy. The hard part for me was getting the isolaters and jounces off the old springs. THEN, installing them on the new springs was tough also. Used up a month of bad words on that job.

Spring seats or isolaters are the same for all HHR's and Cobalts.
Spring seat #25993738.
Jounce bumpers is where parts are a little tricky.
All Cobalts and HHR SS. Part # 19352221
HHR LS and LT Part # 25993737
Part # 1935221 is probably a little shorter than the LS, LT ones. You would want to use the shorter one with the Cobalt springs. If you do reuse your present jounce bumper, your suspension will bottom out sooner. Won't hurt anything but could be annoying.
