those of you with the LS or LT..when pulling on the e-brake i notice i got to really yank on it to go far up for it to stop the wheels from turning still..just wondering if mine needs adjustment or if its normal on the non-ss for performance reasons

Time to check and adjust the rear brakes. It helped mine but the my hhr has always had a fairly far pull travel compared to other cars I have owned.

 

my girlfriend has a hyundai accent and if you pull up just a bit the tires already locking up..just find it odd that you rreeaaalllyy got to pull up to do anything lol..
ya ill get the rear brakes looked at for adjustment :)

 

How many clicks do you get on the lever, as it just starts to engage the rears? If it is more than 3-5, your rears are in need of adjustment.

 

ive never paid attention to the clicks..but its pretty close to being parallel to the armrest

 

I keep mine at about 3 clicks.. Adjuster (see pic) is up top, & in rear. There will be a small rubber plug you remove to access the adjuster.. Simple dealio.
But also a good time to wash off the brakes & inspect everything..

 

i only use mine for "Bat-turns" in the winter.............

 

I use mine for "drifting"....

I notice this too..especially with the rear disc..sitting still , the best way is to use normal brakes and then set e brake before releasing,, then its tight! Dont know about the drum set up,,never messed with it..
