Front brake caliper bolts on 2010 1LT

What size are the bolts that hold the calipers and the caliper brackets on the front rotors? Are they Allen bolts? On my Cavalier they were Allen bolts and it was a royal pain to change them out because I didn't have a socket and had to use the plain Allen wrench to remove the bolts.

13mm Hex Head if memory serves me right, haven't had a caliper off in two years.

(CORRECTION!! 15mm Hex Head) Stupid Senility!

25 foot pounds of torque, or 34 Newton Meters to torque 'em to spec.

Don is correct, they are 15mm, my fault for relying on memory instead of checking.

Thanks Don!

I keep my 1/2 ratchet and a 15 mm socket in my seat tray because I check my pads every time I rotate tires. Along with brake spoon, 3 lb hammer and lug socket.

Regular 15mm socket or 15mm Allen socket?

Are the bolts for the caliper itself and the brackets that hold the shoes the same size?

My caliper bracket bolts are a 15 mm six point hex head bolt, these are the bolts I undo to remove the caliper bracket to remove the rotor
My caliper slide bolts are 14 mm six point hex head bolts these are the ones I undo to remove the caliper and get at the brake pads

They are not Allen. So you could just get your socket set out and try which one fits.

Why is this such a point of angst?
