Front Sway Bar Diameter

I recently bought a used 2009 HHR SS. The previous owner replaced the front sway bar with an aftermarket performance sway bar. I am experiencing the infamous "front end clunk" and want to start my trial-n-error investigation with the cheaper sway bar bushings and links (as opposed to struts or strut mounts which cost much more). I don't know if OEM bushings will fit this aftermarket sway bar since I don't have the OEM bar on hand and cannot measure its diameter. Does anybody know the OEM bar's diameter?

Thanks in advance,
M Ridzon

If the PO swapped out the swaybar they might have gone to a larger diameter bar, what bar is it ? Some aftermarket bars are larger in diameter, some smaller!

Agree with OB, if you're keeping the aftermarket bar, the diameter of the original is irrelevant. You need to measure the bar that you are going to use.

He is asking for the size of the OE bushing to see if they might fit the after-market bar. I am assuming he can measure it.

But he states he doesn't know if the bar is stock diameter or not, prudence would be to measure the bar

Yep. Why put an aftermarket bar on if it wasn't larger.
