front sway bar size

ok, i give up, after searching for over an hour, and reading conflicting answers.
what size front sway bar do I have on a 08 LS panel? I just installed the TTR
rear sway bar which is 1". definitely an improvement but everything ive ever read has said you should never have a larger rear than front swaybar.
what size do i have and would a larger front help?

You should have a 25 mm front sway bar 25 mm converts to 0.984252 inches.

I don't think you will have any problems being a little bigger in the rear.

Look at your rpo code in the glove box. Should find a FE1 or a FE3.

If I remember correctly the FE3 is the 25mm and the FE1 is the 23mm

My 2007 LS 2.2 has s 25 mm front bar and has FE1 suspension.
The 2006 and some early 2007 LS/ LT had the 23mm front swaybar, this was beefed up to the 25mm bar from mid 2007 to 2011.
The 2008 to 2010 SS had the 23 mm swaybar .
If it's the front sway bar bushing kit you are looking for its the energy suspension 9.5161 polyurethane greaseable kit you want.

Oldblue nailed it again!!!

My early 2006 has the 23MM bar - FE1 - I found that out after installing the 25mm poly bushings and discovered the bar rattled worse than with the worn out original bushings (23mm).

Why would you have to measure it , we gave the dimentions and the part numbers.
Your 2008 HHR Panel will have the 25 mm swaybar which is a 1 inch swaybar!

the front and the rear are both 1 inch, I been running this setup for 150,000 miles and I'm sure others have too.

no worries about a big no no!! your ride won't get hairy!!

Lightbulb Hhr 2008 LT sway bar bushing size recommendation

Good evening team. Quick question. I’ve bought non OEM sway bar bushings for my 2008 LT and they are 1 inch bushings. However, there’s still play and clunkyness. Will buying 24mm bushing still fit ?
