Still on till I take it back to the shop, same as race on's. Noise and a thud, have not tried the sleves.
Nemo will go in for a belt line Tribal Flame Band at a Custom Graphic and Performance Shop within the next two weeks. I guess they will be coming off till I can find a better fix. But Race On's problems and the descriptions are the same. We will see what happens. I do not have a level area to do the job my self. My driveway is on a slant, live on a cul da sac to many kids, the other halfs house is on a brick street, have to pay to take on take off.
Time will tell what the outcome will be.

By the accounts presented here, I'm glad I waited on the "levelers". To much aggrevation....poor engineering......then a band aid fix

I've been in contact with both Karen and Pat on this issue to find a solution. There are many of these springs out there, so far the coil noise seems to be very isolated. We would like to get those springs back so we can have them tested by Goldline to try and narrow down the cause. If anyone else has any issue with these springs please contact me via private message or phone.

Now that's what you call a top notch vendor, willing to work with you to solve a problem and asking for the product back.
I'll be throwing my business his way with that type of service.

WELL DONE !!!

Based on previous responses Jeff, at TruckShop, is a "stand-up" guy. And it's good he is helping to address the problem.

If these are in fact just part of a group of defective parts, my criticism is to GoldLine in general.

It appears they have poor quality control over wire selection, temper control and/or manufacturing processes. It's probably a case of expediting parts to retail market in order to capture the "buck'.

Understand, this is just my opinion.

To Jeff's credit, he has taken the lead on this matter and has assured me that he will get to the bottom of the situation. It gives me great confidence to deal with a vendor that is willing to go to bat for his customer. I have never heard of a problem with Goldline products, so I can only assume that Karen and I received either the wrong springs or defective springs. In my opinion, this makes Jeff a very stand up guy, when the problem was not of his making.

Regards,
Pat

I dont want to jinx myself, but so far I dont have any strange noises. But, the ride is noticibly stiffer-now my HHR truly rides like the truck it is supposed to be Or is it that it rides like a sports car? Is there a difference?

Lee, I would think that if your springs were going to have the same problem as Karen's and mine, you would have heard it by now. I really think Karen and I either got the wrong springs or defective springs. I read your install write up after I installed mine, and since you did not indicate any noise problems, I thought there must be something wrong with either my installation or my springs. And, it would be kind of hard to screw-up the installation, so......

Regards,
Pat
