Goldline leveling spring question
Weather in Memphis was somewhat overcast but warm today, so I tackled the task of installing my Goldlines. I did find that the instructions were correct here compared to jacking up one side at a time. The sway bar (if you have one) needed to be loosened to allow for the spindles to drop enough to get the springs out. As far as cutting the "knob" off, mine actually came out of the top altogether as one piece. While I had it apart, I painted the drums flat black to improve the appearance. After it's all said and done, tools put away, and taken out for a test ride, this is killer!! By the way, no noise at all and I made sure to take it to some place with speedbreakers and dips. I turned the headlight adjustment screw one full turn counterclockwise to compensate for the aim of the lamps. I hope that's correct. I'll find out tonite when it's dark enough to get out.
I never adjusted my lights and never once got flashed on my 9 hr trip home from L.A. I guess I'll just wait until I start getting flashed.
Also I noticed that it is much harder to peel out now, something with the weight of the vehicle not rolling backwards upon take off and leaving more wieght on the front tires. Does that make sence or is it because my flowmaster has reduced my horse power somehow with too much backpressure.
Thanks

I don't hod rod around and I rarely peel out but i have done it a few times and of course I wanted to see how the flowmaster was going to change things. Its too loud, it's even bugging me so I know my wife is unhappy with it regaurdless of what she tells me.
Any suggestions on a good sounding muffler without the deafening, can't hear myself think, even overthrows the radio at a pretty high volume effect.
I do love the stance with the levelers, but I am wanting to lower the whole car. I know a few of you have done both so besides the looks what was your experience between the two.

If the modded exhaust is too loud, go back to stock. Yeah, I know the old saying that "Stock Sucks" but in this case, go back to it. I may be old but nothing sounds better than a V8 with headers and glass packs. Maybe I just outgrew the louder sound. I am content with the stock exhaust system. It's all I can do to put up with my motorcycle and it's loud pipes....LOL
I did hear yours and it seemed okay inside, I also listened to mrjuma's while we were there and it sounds okay also Ijust never listened inside. I think I will put this muffler on my old Cadi and find an Imco for my HHR but Ive heard here that that along with a CGS will actually reduce power. Is this still the case or has anyone proven this theroy wrong. I am thinking of a K&N cold air box ( the one that sits up on top the engine) so does anyone have it along with the imco muffler? If so whats your opinion on the combo?
