but the box outside bring the number C661178 and the manufacture is DORMAN in the website for forman in canada is
https://www.thewrenchmonkey.ca/produ...orman/c661178/
for this number of the cable said this part fit on the
  1. Chevrolet Cobalt 2005-2010
  2. Chevrolet HHR 2006-2011
  3. Pontiac G5 2007-2010
so I will review again the installation but probably manufacture wrong.
thanks

Did you measure/compare it against the old ones before you installed it ? If you did(and you should have) then you would have noticed if it was too long.
If it's the same length as the old ones, then you have an installation error.

yes I did, first not 100% , I take off from the car and meassure side by side and you know what is longer that the older one, so even when the number part is for HHR 2006, the part is not for the car or was mistake from the manufacture, so I called to caps today afternoon and tomorrow them will replace , just I have to make sure is the same long of the old one.
thanks

Perhaps the cable that you did not replace is incorrect.

the problem is the manufacture make the parking cable for different lengths, rockouto have for 60 inch, 69 inch for the same car HHR 2006, however my car use 67 or 68 inch, or could be 65 inch today I got the new cable, the other one was a mistake from the manufacturing, is ok!, now I have 68 inch for the left side BUT i have to replace the other now also Right side because is more short or I don;'t know the think I have to change also and both will have the same length, is better. my advise is for replace parking cable, take measure for the original you have in the car and after buy according with the length and model car , but not only for the car model.
thanks oldblue for your advise.
