The zerks are new, come with the links. Is it possible that I put them in to far. I ran them in until they got tight, almost to the hex part of the zerk.

 

I have a 2008 HHR LS it has 156000 k miles just started making this noise. I have replaced the lower control arms on both sides. front brakes and rotors. sway bar links. put new tires on the front and still making the noise. all I have tried.... braking while driving, weaving on the road, it starts making the noise at about 25mph. sounds like a clunking noise. and is speed controlled. not and eng. noise. any help?

Sway bar bushings. Try driving over a speed bump at a sharp angle at slow speeds to test so that only one wheel moves vertically - that puts a load/action on the bar itself.
