Hi I have a 2010 HHR, I’m looking for a part number for the Lower control arm body mount bolt and cage nut. Is this dealer only? Or is there a kit? I know I’m able to get the bolt at dealer but haven’t found the cage nut anywhere. Thank you

 

Welcome to the site, the cage nut wasn’t a service part . You’ll have to improvise.

It might have been a captive nut that needed to be replaced because it was cross threaded. It's not like I know this because of experience.

I just dealt with the cage nut spinning in the cage on the drivers side.
After removing the steering rack from the drivers side , then the front swaybar removed from the passenger side, I could get a pair of 10” vise grips with the jaws wide open to squeeze the nut and hold it tight enough to remove the bolt . In here , post #112
