Lower rear only?

Still trying to decide do I lower the rear only or go for front and rear?

What problems have people had lowering both?

If I do both do I do just springs?

If I do both do I also install rear sway?

I would like it to handle better, be more responsive and have less roll. Don't want to have to worry about curbs in parking lots. Corvette is bad enough.
Thanks

Exhaust.. Magnalow and K+N intake on next weekend.

I'm also deciding on whether to do the rear of both ends. But my concern is not so much handling but how it'll ride with 4 adults and accompanying luggage. If I'm going to bottom out or ride with a nose high attitude when loaded up, forget it, I'll stick with current ride height.

Even if you lower the front and rear, it's only a couple inches. You shouldn't have any clearance issues. There is less roll, but the rear end still moves side to side. Most people that have bought the rear anti-sway bar say it helps, but I honestly don't see how it can. I've never seen an anti-sway bar that doesn't have two center mounts.

Seems like a few people are getting the Magnaflow exhaust at the same time. Someone better make a video.

your rear sway only has one retainer?

I am lowered with eibach pro's and have no clearance issues. Plus I have side pipes.

The ride is great and the handling fantastic. I do have the Progress Tech rear sway bar.

IMO, if you're gonna spend the money for lowering springs, why just get half a set?

I always thought sway bars were like this:

The ends mount to the strut, control arm, axle, etc., depending on the vehicle, and the two center mounts attach to the chassis. Without the swaybar attaching to the chassis, I don't see how it can be as effective. Especially at reducing side to side movement, which is why I would want one.

The rear sway bar helps alot. When my wife got her 07 HHR one of the 1st ? was why my HHR don't rock on the hyway like hers. I added a rear sway bar to hers. She likes it, now she wants rear springs so it looks like my HHR and it will make the hyway ride even better.

sway bars have to be like that - otherwise they are excess baggage. it would still work with one retainer but not nearly as well... which is why i was surprised...

Your suspension shouldn't be bottoming out no matter which direction you go. Lowering springs have a higher spring rate and are progressively wound so as they compress the spring rate gets even higher. So in essence the more weight, or cornering forces you put on the springs the harder they work.

A rear swaybar is, in my opinion, one of the best things you can do on a FWD car. It gives the car a slight understeer, and makes the car handle a lot differently. If you like any kinda of sprited driving a rear swaybar will give the car a much more stable and controllable feel. I had one on my last car and the difference was amazing.

If you do the rears only, do you need to redo the front end alignment?
