Mr Vette, Thanks for helping with the pictures. I mistakenly loaded the 29" picture twice. Now I'm having a problem getting the 28" measurement to upload. The full car pictures tell the story. The first one above is with the Cobalt SS springs, the second with the stock springs. It's pretty easy to see the 1" less open space above the rear tire. I think it's most noticeable looking at the rocker panel being level now in the first picture.

WOW haven't been on here in awhile. Looks like everyone is liking this little gem of info I found. Glad you guys are having good luck. I'm still loving mine and know problems or strange noises like I read about with other springs. How much are you guys having to pay for the springs??

I bought my Cobalt SS springs from GM Parts Direct for $60 plus $13 shipping. I've had them on for a few days and besides the 1" drop in the rear that leveled the car, I can't believe how much better it rides. The backend seems to handle bumps better and in general, is a softer ride.
My HHR is not a utility vehicle and will never see a lot of cargo weight, other than my fat old German Shepherd, Zoey. That would be my only concern, as I think these new springs have a lower load capacity. An occasional trip to the store to pick up something bulky, weighing 100 lbs or so should not be a problem. Overall, the change of springs along with the rear stabilizer bar have really helped. I took an expressway cloverleaf ramp the other day and started pushing it pretty hard about halfway through, once I felt secure. The HHR stuck like glue with almost no lean. I love it.
BTW: I measured the new rear height at 28" with an empty tank. When I filled up, it only dropped less than 1/4" so that amount of weight had little affect. And I DID have to adjust the headlights down quite a bit to get back to where they were.
