Here's an important note that I found at SoCalHHR.com...

Although correct info, you might want to look at the differance.

215/55R16
Diameter=25.3"
Circumferance=79.5"

215/50R17
Diameter=25.5"
Circumferance=80.0"

It not that much smaller. .6% wont hardly throw your speedo off. The 17" rim just makes the wheel/tire package look much bigger.

*AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LOWERING: 1LT and 2LT HHR's use different size tires. The 16-inch wheels on the 1LT are smaller diameter tires and will cause the vehicle to drop much more (over an inch more!). The larger tire diameter of the 2LT's 17-inch rims will not show such a drastic drop. Please keep in mind that no matter which HHR you own, the Gold-Line springs will only drop it 1.80-inches in front, and 2.125-inches in back, from the stock height.
Here's a photo showing a 1LT (left) vs a 2LT (right), both on 2nd gen GLs

Nice!

Did both get the same drop? What height did they get lowered?
Thanks for the pic!

Not too sure what the actual numbers were, but the 1LT got a fraction closer to the ground. You'd think that with how hard we worked to find what the difference was between the two, I would actually remember what the drop was.

Anyone else notice that photo is a mirror image of itself. I love advertising gimmicks.

That's hilarious. I would have never noticed. What really gives it away is the steering wheel. In the left picture, it's farther away, as it should be. In the right picture, it's still far away, like a European car. Good eye, Solman.

Oh, yea... and the exhaust tip.

Which eibach springs were used on the Summit White HHR. Pro-kit or Sportline?

They are not mirror images like it is a PhotoShop trick.........It is the same car in nearly the same location at different times. Yes, one was turned around to put them nose to nose but it is not the trick it appears to be. Just look at the details that are not "mirrored", the expansion joint in the concrete and the placement of the garden hose reel are the most obvious.
