I'm just going to get the ones for the newer ss. Once it settles that should be plenty. I think that most everyone that has done the swap is using the newer ss springs.

My Cobalt springs will be here tomorrow. I'm hoping my guy will be available tomorrow afternoon to install so I can enjoy them over the weekend. If not I guess I'll be waiting until Monday to install since I don't have jack stands or a nice enough jack to do it myself.

I'm thinking maybe I'll run by my old man's house and steal his jack stands and jack and just try to do it myself. I've got wrenches and all so I should be good there.

Will do. If they come by lunch time tomorrow my repair guy said he'd get them on before I leave work. I'm not sure what time UPS comes by the house so I'm at their mercy.

how do you keep the springs from unseating when the car is jacked up or goes over a rough spot?

I had someone else do it, but I helped. You have to really give it a tug to unseat the spring even with the bolts off the shocks. Once it's all back together I don't see how you would have a problem with the springs unseating.

Of course good quality springs will remain seated by un-sprung spring pressure..& even if the car is put on a lift & rear axle hangs all the way down, the rear shocks limit the travel..Keeping the rear springs captive.

Why, are yours falling out ??

If so, we need more info. What brand & which rear shocks ?
