Just got my HHR about a month ago.
I noticed the other day that when coming to a stop once I stop there is a thumping noise from the rear and it feels like the car slips forward from the stop. It doesn' happen at every stop but it feels like the brake slips off on the rear.
Has anyone experienced this I've searched the forums and online and only found similiar problems with trucks.

 

If it's old enough, possibly the shoes are worn out? Broken spring seems to be common. Could just need adjustment. Needs looking into by someone that knows what they are doing, most tire shops will do a "free" brake inspection (they WILL find something wrong). If you have any warranty use it.

 

I only have about 30,000Km on it, bought it used from a dealer and the thing was immaculate. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something common or normal. I'll get a GM Mechanic friend to look at it, just wish it would do it everytime. Thats cars they never make that noise when you bring it in.
