servicing rear drum brake
Ok i did a lot of searching but couldn't find an answer to my question which is probably a dumb one. I was wondering how do you service the rear drum brakes? i know with the front brakes you eventually get new pads and discs but what do you do with the drums? my 06 HHR is creeping to 100K miles and i have never had a "service" done to my rear brakes. do i need to replace the entire drum?
thank you very much in advanced!!

You don't know until you look at them. "Regular service" means physically inspecting them every 20K or so.
At 100K I would be thinking new shoes probably. Maybe springs. Drums if they exceed the wear limit. Cylinders if they are leaking.
The max inside diameter is on printed on the drum. There is a published minimum thickness for the shoes.
