Shorter shocks...Lower ride..
Shorter shocks...Lower ride..
I was wondering since I put the Goldlines on, the full drop version. If i was to find shorter shocks for the rear, would it help squat it a little more? I still have the stock shocks on and wasn't sure since I dropped it almost 2.75" that they may be helping to hold it up. I kinda doubt it, but I'm not sure. I would like to drop it another 1/2". Anyone else see a difference in height after lowering and then later installing shorter shocks?
Don't think it would Drop it any further.
But it would keep the rear springs from falling out when the car was put on a lift.
I hear you can get shorter rear shocks from http://hhrboutique.com/ you have to CALL they are Not listed on the website.

It will not give it a lower ride and I have NEVER had my springs fall out while on the lift at my friends garage where I do the work. The brake line bracket will not let the suspension fall far enough to have that happen. Want proof. Try removing the springs w/o removing that bracket.
The best advice I could give you is to install FE5 shocks from an SS HHR or SS Cobalt. I did that. They are 1/2" shorter and are valved more inline with the spring reate of the shorter springs.
