Soon to be dropped!!! question for members with experience lowering via cobalt ss spr

Hello all. I'm awaiting the arrival of a set if stock ss/SC springs and had a couple of questions. Will I need to modify anything if I lower the front, or will rubbing not be an issue? I can do the install myself just wanted the opinion of some who have done this drop. Any issues I need to watch for and how will these affect my ride?

I have only lowered the rear but there should be no issues with rubbing. As far as ride its going to be a little stiffer but not unbearable. Will handle loads better. Good luck with the install. Take pics and ask questions if you get stuck on anything.

I have that exact set up and no issues what so ever. Probably want to have it aligned but other than that, not much to it.

Thanks. That's what I was wanting to hear. Yeah I'll probably get it aligned, I need to do the brakes on the front while I have it apart. I'll take before and after pics, and some of the install. sway bars and wheels are next :-)

I got the ttr sway bar on mine. That combined with the cobalt springs is awsome. Really tightened up the handeling.

Don't expect a major change, especially if you are keeping your stock strut setup. Rear will drop about an inch...I think read somewhere that the front maybe a half inch. I know people have changed out the entire strut/spring with more drop. Someone else that's done the front can chime in.

Where's the best place to get sway bars from? TTR make just a rear or both.

I've read the SC springs drop more than the later TC models do. Drop of about an inch or 1 1/4 for TC and about 1 1/2 for SC. I'm not looking for a huge drop more wanting to improve turn in response and reduce body roll. This thing understeers horribly in factory form. Rides better than my vibe I had before but no where near as tossable.

Yeah its closer to an inch, maybe 1-1/8" for the rear, but I'm pretty sure there's minimal to none for the front. I bet sleeper knows the answer...I'm just going by what I believe to have read in a thread here. I read so much on here the first few months I had my wagon that it began to all flow together.

Really no news for a front sway bar. They already come with one.
