Yeah I know but I didn't know if they offered a larger front bar. I live in eastern KY, a very mountainous area. our wonderful transportation cabinet doesn't own a straight edge, so every road is nothing but corners and curves. I'm also planning on upgrading my brakes to slotted rotors and better pads. I don't expect a sports car but I like to drive something entertaining.

Yes the GM Cobalt SS/SC rear springs are softer & drop is about 1-1/2" after 500 miles or so of settling..

The GM Cobalt SS/TC rear springs are firmer (I've had mine on for about 3 years) drop is 1-1/4" after settling..

What a dramatic Improvement.. I can haul & still carve up the twisties...

And 1 month later I added a rear anti-sway bar for good measure..

I wouldn't worry about swapping front bars. Eibach IIRC makes one, but mine doesn't need it !!!

Ive swapped to the sc springs and back several times now. The fronts handle a bit better, no drop though. The rears seem a little soft to me, as I think the hhr has a couple hundred extra pounds on them. I have noticed more scraping and wallowing over bumps.
You want a rear anti-sway bar for that body roll.

Thanks again to all. I'm excited to get mine on. next mod is def going to be a rear sway bar after the drop. I've been looking and found progress, eibach, ST, but no TTR that several ppl have mentioned. Where a good source for suspension parts for our hhrs?

TTR is Turbo Tech Racing. One of this sites Supporting Vendors. They have the swaybars available plus many other suspension parts.
Aaron at TTR is nice to deal with.
Check the Supporting Vendor Index for more.

TTR swaybar here. Love it with the set up I have. KYB shocks/struts, SS/SC springs, and the sway bar add up to a nice package. These guys are right about the front not coming down much. More or less makes the car sit level with almost all of the noticable drop coming from the rear. It is a bit softer as I noticed a little bit of bounce when I first did it, but it's either gone away or I've gotten used to it. No problem what so ever with hauling people and/or crap in the back.

Since this started as a thread about "getting dropped", here's a picture.

My SS with the Pedders springs in the rear. (doing the fronts another day)

Nice! I'll def post pics once I've gotten them installed. TTR sway bar is def the way I'm going I noticed it's a 25mm whereas most others are 22. My springs should be here Monday so hopefully by next weekend I'll have them on.

You will love it. I got the sway bar first and it was a good improvement. Then i got the cobalt rear springs. Springs matched with the sway bar is a great combo. Chefhhr sold me the springs for 50 bucks. No doubt the best money spent on this car. Its still no sports car but it will corner great and ride is still decent.
