I'm new on the board and with my 2008 hhr ss. I hit some road construction blew out a tire, messed up the alignment and now my left strut mount is knocking. I've been looking online to find replacement parts and when I get to the struts I want to order the correct ones. I don't know what the suspension codes are for the ss and I like the way it rides stock and want to keep it that way and I know the ss and stiffer ride than a reg or LT version. Where or what part #'s do I need to replaced my struts and shocks on a SS???? sorry if this had been asked before but I've just got confused a little reading on here and I'm kind of on a time crunch to get this done. THanks.

the part numbers for the rear LH and RH are the same: 15938031

the front struts are :
RH : 19179738
LH : 20794824

you can find them online either gmpartsdirect.com or crateenginedepot.com (come as a package front and rears from crate website)

 

and while you're at it, i would suggest replacing the strut mounts/bearings if they are original and tie rods and sway bar links if you are getting the 'clunk' sound

 

Or, you might try rockauto.com. I got mine there, and they shipped from WI, if I remember correctly. You would probably get them next day in your area.

The suspension code is FE5 for the SS, but you might not need it...
