Where are the shocks & struts?
Does any body know why KYB,Monroe and Gabriel apparently no longer manufacture shocks and struts for the HHR/Cobalt/G5 and the European versions? The parts outlets I have tried seem to say special order, if they still have any in the warehouse. What is up with this? I seem to remember reading somewhere that this platform is one of the best selling automobiles on the planet! Pep Boys,Advance,Autozone And the mfg. websites. I have found the part numbers, but not the parts, well I got the last pair of struts on Amazon (for a great deal $109 for both). Now I can, maybe, special order the rear shocks for about $30 each, but they say "available only while supplies last". I can still walk int any parts store and pick up shocks for a '64 Buick, but not a 2006-2009 Chevy!!??

tirerack.com sells the KYB shocks. Yes they list them in stock.
