You might also want to check the rear bushing on the lower control arms regarding the issues while braking - when the bushings wear out, the lower control arm can oscillate back and forth, and feel much like brake jutter.

Another option for the front struts is to go for a set of Monroe Quick struts which makes the front struts a simple replacement - and can be done with just a few tools in the driveway. Although KYB's are awesome from what others have said.

Just took the car for a test drive over some bumps going slowly with the windows down so I could hear noises.
You can hear each shock make a shock depressing air type sound and upon further inspection most of the shocks are leaking or spraying rather, its just the front left one that is noticeable because its really leaking where it connects to the tire.
so its good i'm changing all of them.
also the springs sound quiet and look good to me, i'm not a professional, but i think they are fine. there is a slight er eh noise coming from the back of the car only, so I assume its a bushing or something or maybe even where the shocks attach which would be fixed with the replacements.
